For over 10 years, the District 3 office, in collaboration with the County of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department have hosted the annual Day on the Bay Multicultural Festival. We are excited to host Day on the Bay 2022 on Saturday, October 8 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm at the Alviso Marina County Park.
Approximately 10,000 to 15,000 people attend Day on the Bay every year to enjoy activities that are rich in diversity and talent, and abundant in ethnic expression. The Mercury News reports that it is the most attended event in the historic waterfront town of Alviso. The day will include a massive resource fair focused on health and a festive celebration of our diverse cultures.
Besides being a ton of fun, the main reason for the event is to share information, services, and resources with the local community. Attendees can meet non-profit, government, and community-based organizations to learn about, and receive services. This year will also feature the annual Bike to the Bay, a community bike ride to Day on the Bay!
This event is provided to the community free of charge. We rely heavily rely on generous contributions from our sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are a valuable way to let the community know that your business cares. In addition, we are looking for local businesses to donate refreshments for attendees and volunteers. We also welcome gift certificate donations for raffle prizes. Your generous gift would be a great way to promote your business!
